Car Seat

I went to get Logan's car seat professionally switched around today (from rear facing to front facing) . . . but due to his weight (22 lbs) and the seat being rear facing up to 35 lbs it was suggested that it is safest for him to remain rear facing until 33 lbs. The safety inspector said that at this age his bones and muscles are still forming, so with him rear facing the seat would take any impact in an accident, where front facing the child takes the impact of the accident on his body. I was looking forward to moving his seat front facing, but I feel more comfortable waiting because of this explanation.
